Accommodation

Accommodation

In order to make choosing the "right" accommodation easier, we have included this overview to help you better orient yourself to the various accommodation types.

Host Family

For those who want to discover more about a country and its culture we recommend choosing an accommodation with a host family. Furthermore, life with a host family will provide you with excellent opportunities to use and improve your newly learned language skills. Host families offer furnished single or double rooms with bathroom access, laundry service, and either breakfast, half-pension, or full-pension. Friendships often develop during a stay with a host family and usually continue long past the student's departure from the country.

Students and their friends are welcome to stay with the same host family. Should you have any dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, allergies, etc.), please state these on your enrollment form, so that the family can prepare for these needs as best as possible.

Shared Apartment

In a shared apartment, you will live with other course participants and/or native students in an apartment with two or more bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom are shared with other residents.

Vacation Apartment

In a vacation apartment, you will live together with other course participants in an apartment with two or more bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom are shared with other residents.

Student Residence Hall

In these residence halls you will have the opportunity to experience an international atmosphere with other students of various nationalities. In addition to single and double bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, there is usually a common room. The accommodations are partially offered with meal plans and laundry services.

Private Apartment

Private apartments are offered as single room (studio) and multiple room apartments. They are all furnished with fully equipped kitchens and a bathroom.

Hostel/Youth Hostel

With these accommodations you will live in a hostel or youth hostel with other language students and tourists from all over the world. Depending on the hostel, you can reserve either a single, double, or multiple bed room with private or communal bathrooms. Some of these accommodations also come with a communal kitchen.

Meal Plans

At various accommodations our language students are also offered meal plans. These are prepared according to the cooking habits of the country or host family and can, therefore, vary greatly from typical European cuisine. If you must maintain a specific diet (for example as a diabetic) or are a vegetarian, please be sure to include this information on your enrollment form so the host family can prepare for these needs as best as possible.

Bedding/Towels

Bedding is provided at almost all accommodations. Exceptions are noted on each school's webpages. We recommend that you bring hand and bath towels with you.
