Learn Chinese

China has had a booming economy for years, and the country is slowly integrating itself into the international community. Foreign investors are in increasing numbers exploring China's economy as new territory, and China's significance as a trade partner with the western world is becoming ever more important. As a result it is becoming more and more important to speak Chinese in today’s world. So, why not book a language holiday to China today and start learning Chinese.

Chinese is the most widely spoken language in the world next to English. Over 1.2 billion people speak Chinese! Since Chinese is rarely taught in European schools language holidays in China are becoming increasingly popular.

The official language of the People’s Republic of China is Mandarin, but there are several other dialects, such as Cantonese, which is still very similar to Mandarin though when written. Despite being considered to be an extremely difficult language to learn, Mandarin has very simple grammar. There are, for example, no articles, no declensions and no conjugations. The biggest challenges when learning Chinese are pronunciation and the characters. For this reason the best way to learn Chinese is to spend time in the country.

Your language course will leave you with enough spare time to explore and get to know the ancient histories and culture of our exciting course locations, Peking and Shanghai. The Ming Dynasty and the Great Wall of China has fascinated visitors for many years. Although western influences can be seen in China it still has a completely different culture to Europe. So, why not book a language course in China and explore this fascinating country!
