Almost all of the students who study English in Cairns live in carefully selected host families who on foot or by public transport all live within 5 to 30 minutes of the language school. Families offer furnished single rooms with access to a bathroom, half board during the week and full board at weekends. Living in a host family in Cairns will also provide students with plenty of opportunities to use and improve their newly acquired English skills. It also gives students who come to study English at our language school in Cairns the opportunity to become acquainted with the culture in Australia, and so can provide them with a valuable experience in addition to their English language course.

All students and their friends who wish to study English in Cairns are welcome to stay together in the same host family. Should you have any dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, allergies, etc.), please state these on your enrolment form, so that the family can prepare for these needs as best as possible.

Shared Apartments

Living in a shared apartment is a great way to get to know other students. Apartments have single bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom are shared. The kitchen is fully equipped and students are free to use it whenever they want.

The English language school in Cairns is happy to arrange other accommodation for you in your preferred price range. You are also welcome to book your English language course in Cairns without accommodation provided by us.

Airport pickup and drop-off

If you booked accommodation with a host family, airport transfer is included in the price. Pickup from and drop-off at the airport is not included in course fees but is easily arranged. Please see our price list for fees. You can also get to your accommodation using public transport. Further information regarding such travel will be sent to you with your travel documents for your English language course in Australia.
