Host Family

Many of the students who study English in Galway live in carefully selected host families, who live within ten minutes of the English language school in Galway. Families offer furnished single and double rooms with access to a bathroom, half board during the week and full board at weekends, including laundry service. Living in a host family in Galway will also provide students with plenty of opportunities to use and improve their newly acquired English skills. It also gives students who come to study English at our language school in Galway the opportunity to become acquainted with the culture in Ireland, and so can provide them with a valuable experience in addition to their English language course.

All students and their friends who wish to study English in Galway are welcome to stay together in the same host family. Should you have any dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, allergies, etc.), please state these on your enrolment form, so that the family can prepare for these needs as best as possible.

Shared Apartment

The English language school in Galway offers accommodation in shared apartments. Some apartments are 20 to 30 minutes from the language school by public transport, others 10 to 15 minutes. The single and double rooms in the apartments are all practically and comfortably furnished. Each apartment has a bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette and washing machine. Bedding and towels are provided. Although there is a cleaning service for the apartments, students are expected to help maintain cleanliness.
