Almost all of the students who study Russian at our language school in St. Petersburg live in carefully selected host families, who all live approximately 45 minutes from the language school by public transport or 15 minutes on foot. Families offer furnished single rooms with half board during the week and full board at weekends. Living in a host family in St. Petersburg will also provide students with plenty of opportunities to use and improve their newly acquired Russian skills. It also gives students who come to study Russian at our language school in St. Petersburg the opportunity to become acquainted with the culture in Russia, and so can provide them with a valuable experience in addition to their Russian language course.

All students including their friends who wish to study Russian in St. Petersburg are welcome to stay together in the same host family. Should you have any dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, allergies, etc.), please state these on your enrolment form, so that the family can prepare for these needs as best as possible.

Shared Apartment

These apartments each consist of two or three single bedrooms, a bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Apartments also come furnished with a TV, telephone, washing machine and vacuum cleaner. Bedding is provided, but students are required to bring their own towels.

Other Accommodation

The Russian language school in St. Petersburg is happy to arrange other accommodation for you in your preferred price range. You are also welcome to book your Russian language course in St. Petersburg without accommodation provided by us.

Airport pickup and drop-off

You can be picked up from and drop-off at the airport in St. Petersburg, if you arrive on a Sunday and have reserved accommodation with either a host family or in a shared apartment. Airport transfer is free of charge in these cases. On all other days and for reservations without accommodation airport transfer is not included in course fees, but is easily arranged. Please see our price list for fees. You can also get to your accommodation using public transport.
